  • It has helped me feel more confident in situations outside of this club, and helped me be more open in my own opinions so I don't feel inferior or taken advantage of, as well as just gaining confidence about my physique and body image and gaining mental and physical strength.

  • I had very low self esteem when it came to my body and working out. I always wanted to start working out but never had the tools/techniques to start. The first day, I was nervous yet excited. I didn't know what emotions were going through my body. After, I realized that I had a love/hate relationship with working out. It has helped me not only physically, but also mentally. I have been struggling with my mental health before Barbell Club, and here now, on the last day of Barbell Club, I am happy and I am thankful for not only the Barbell Club but also the coaches. They helped me see that I am enough and that I am comfortable in my body.
